Optical nutation in a gaussian beam resonator
2014 We examine the transient behaviour of a plane-spherical resonator driven by a continuous wave and filled by an optically thin gas which is suddenly switched on exact resonance with the driving field. Contrary to previous treatments, the axial and transversal field distributions and the molecular motions through the standing wave are taken into account. This is achieved by projecting the in...
متن کاملLaser beam quality and pointing measurement with an optical resonator.
We present a compact diagnostic breadboard that is based on an optical ring resonator for measuring beam quality and pointing of single-frequency continuous wave lasers at a wavelength of 1064 nm. To determine the beam quality of the coherent test beam, this optical resonator is used to perform a mode decomposition into Hermite-Gaussian modes. For our laser system, a power fraction in the funda...
متن کاملFar-field intensity distribution of a beam generated by a resonator with a phase-unifying mirror.
The far-field intensity distribution (FFID) of a beam generated by a phase-unifying mirror resonator was investigated based on scalar diffraction theory. Attention was paid to the parameters, such as obscuration ratio and reflectivity of the phase-unifying mirror, that determine the FFID. All analyses were limited to the TEM00 fundamental mode.
متن کاملStudy of Dosimetric Properties of Flattening Filter Free Photon Beam Passing through Cadmium Free Compensator Alloy
Background: This study aims to investigate radiation beam geometry of Cyberknife beam and change in dosimetric characteristics of six megavoltage (6MV) flattening filter free (FFF) beam after passing through high density cadmium free compensator alloy.Material and Methods: In this experimental study, changes in FFF beam dosimetric characteristics after passing through compensator alloy wa...
متن کاملBeam–Charge Asymmetry associated with DVCS at HERMES
We report the first observation of an azimuthal asymmetry in the hard electroproduction of real photons with respect to the charge of the incoming lepton beam. The asymmetry is attributed to the interference between the Bethe–Heitler process and the deeply–virtual Compton scattering process, which gives access to the latter at the amplitude level. This process appears to be the theoretically cl...
